First of all, I'd like to say that the NECA TMNT figures are easily the best Turtles figures I've ever seen. They're so awesome. I'll be reviewing them as a whole today, instead of just the Leonardo figure. Now onto picking them apart(critically, not literally).
SCULPT - ***** (out of 5)
The sculpt on this figure is amazing. The likeness to the original comics is uncanny, and I love the different plastics they used to complete the figure. The body (arms, legs, head) are of the normal plastic we'd expect a figure to be made of, but his chest is made of a very soft flexible plastic to keep from preventing his poseability. And the shell is made from a very hard and durable plastic which makes perfect sense considering he's...well, a turtle. I love it. And each head is sculpted differently so they're not all the same. OK, so I justgot the new Dark Knight figure.. much to talk about
first of all.. this figure IS, 6 inch scale! and not 5 inch, which means bette POA!!! much more like the DC universe figures.. all the same articulations.
however, when I stand them up w/ the restof the figures, it may seem alittle smaller like the Hasbro Ironman Line.. however he is bulky and buff like the regular 6 inch figures.
if anything, it is more in scale in life because if you think about it this way, Superman and Capt America are like 6'2 220lbs... CHRISTIAN BALE as batman is like.. 6'0 200lbs? then these figures look the right size then! lol. thats how I see it and it gets me through...
the figure is extreeemeelly detailed, the batsuit looks awesome.. the new batman movie is going to be awesome.
the cape is kinda heavy, wh . . .

Posted by Captain Coder on Friday, April 11, 2008.
How's that for a title! Tired of making the same custom over and over? Well, this is it, your chance to let those brain-muscles run wild and create the craziest thing you can imagine. Giant monkey? Alien with 7 eyeballs? Ancient warrior? Eskimo with a flamethrower? Throw a rag on a pop-sickle stick and call it a ghost? If you can make it look good, then it's in! Let everyone know exactly who or what your character is by writing a backstory for it.
Notes
-You read right, anything you wanna make, it's in. There's a catch of course, you can't make any character that already exists! But there are also exceptions!
-Your custom has to be an original, but you CAN take inspiration from other characters, they just can't be exact duplicates with a name-change.
-If you write stories, this is the perfect chance to ma . . .

Iron Man (Stealth Operations Suit) (Wal-Mart) Figure Review
Posted by Captain Coder on Monday, March 24, 2008.
Nice looking figure. Stealth Operations Ironman (why they didn't just call him War Machine is beyond me, the packaging comes right out and says that its' flown by James Rhodes after all) has decent shading on the silver parts of the figure, but the grey/black portions are just plain black. The sculpt itself is quite nice. The moveable cannons on his shoulders are decent and help to set this version a little apart from the others. The shoulder armor is removeable, but doesn't seem to get in the way of articulation anyway. Decent range of motion on the ankles, double jointed knees and elbows. Bicep articulation is in place, but no forearm. Swivel and hinge joints on the wrist (though the hand armor limits the ability to tilt the hand back for a nice repulsor blast type pose.) Head is o . . .
Donna Troy Figure Review by Dr Nightmare
Posted by Captain Coder on Sunday, March 23, 2008.
Impulse buying is always fun, and I rarely regret doing it, Donna here is a perfect example why. She's gorgeous! I'm not going to pretend I knew who she was, I've only read 2 comics from the current Wonder Woman series and one of them had giant talking albino monkeys with laser-guns, so I dropped that acid trip pretty fast. This figure is worth getting no matter what you do or don't read. It's impressive, plain and simple, it stands-out on the pegs among the dozens of Batmans, she's like the cool chick at a party and you know you'll regret it the rest of your life if you don't pick her up.
Donna stands about 6.5 inches, the lush voluminous hair pushes her height to 7 inches (I don't count hair as height by the way). She is cosmetically flawless; absolutely no blotchy-paint, very light make-up, and the eyes are perfectly paint . . .
