![Firefly (Blue) from G.I. Joe - 25th Anniversary - Wave 13 manufactured by Hasbro [Front]](Galleries/gijoe25thanniversary/Firefly-S13-Front.jpg) | Description: FIREFLY has been blowing things up for COBRA since COBRA COMMANDER first donned his hood and opened up for business. Since that time, COBRA has expanded to include entire battalions of bomb-planters, arsonists and booby-trappers, but COBRA COMMANDER still keeps contacting FIREFLY, the "Rembrandt of plastic explosives," when a job needs precision bombing. FIREFLY constructs bombs protected by cross-wired, anti-tampering switches so complex that they are impossible to defuse. He prides himself on having the latest technology to enhance his craftsmanship, such as compact cases of equipment ideal for all forms of elaborate and highly skilled sabotage. "I cam, I saw, I blew it up."
The comic book version of this character is grey camouflage, but this particular figure is blue. Some collectors find this one of the pros of the figure, as the GI Joe Snake Eyes' apprentice, Kamakura, has a blue costume as well, and this Firefly can double as him.
Firefly includes a rifle with a detachable stock, a pistol that can be placed in the holster on his leg, twenty-four points of articulation, a display base, and a removable backpack with a handle that holds removable pliers, a flashlight, gasoline tank, and an explosive. His bandoliers are also removable.
In the GI Joe: A Real American Hero comics, Firefly is an infiltrator, saboteur, arsonist, and an expert on a variety of explosives.
