This is a Marvel Universe two-pack that includes Deadpool and Taskmaster, as well as a reprint of Cable and Deadpool issue thirty-six.

Deadpool includes a knife with a belt sheath, a pistol and non-removable leg holster, and two katana swords that can sheath on a removable back-harness, as well as twenty-six points of articulation.

Taskmaster includes a sword and sheath, a bow, a small pistol and holster, and a shield, as well as twenty-four points of articulation.

The comic book enclosed in the two-pack is Cable and Deadpool issue thirty-six. The plot is that Deadpool, who is eager to repair his career as a mercenary, holds hostages as an audience and challenges Taskmaster to a battle while Deadpool has his hands and arms tied together. Deadpool beats Taskmaster, but in the end, the audience is not impressed. Taskmaster complains that Deadpool lost because Taskmaster stabbed him through the chest with a sword, but Deadpool's healing factor saves his life.

In the fictional Marvel Universe, Taskmaster is a mercenary who can mimic the skills and movements of any person. Deadpool is a man named Wade Wilson who entered Weapon X, the Canadian project that created Wolverine, to save his life from cancer. Deadpool was horribly scarred and dubbed a failed experiment, and was subject to severe torture and was a witness to death and destruction. The other "failed experiments" would make a "deadpool" to predict which one would be killed next. Deadpool escaped, killed all the scientists and workers at the Weapon X program, and began a career as the "Merc With A Mouth," Deadpool, with a healing factor identical to Wolverine that keeps Deadpool's cancer in check.
