The Punisher figure includes a cardboard "Collectable Comic Shot" featuring the cover artwork from Punisher #29, two removable pistols, a knife, and an assault rifle, as well as twenty-nine points of articulation and a non-removable belt harness and ankle knife sheath that can hold the knife and two pistols. There were three other Punisher figures released in the Marvel Universe line, both of which were not looked upon highly by many collectors because of the proportions of the head sculpts. This Punisher figure is one of the newer Marvel Universe figures that features more articulation than the previous ones.
In the Marvel Universe, the Punisher is Frank Castle, a retired US Marine whose family was murdered by the mafia. Seeking vengeance, Castle became the Punisher, an anti-hero who often has conflicts with other heroes because of his brutal way of dealing with criminals. He uses a variety of weaponry to fight crime, and he shows no mercy to anyone who breaks the law.
