Hello fellow realmers,
I was excited when I first saw the Raiden figure from Revoltech. I immediately knew that the Raiden figure would be a great base for my re-interpretation of Agent Venom. I am a fan of Agent Venom's character design and I've done one in Marvel Universe scale and one using another Revoltech figure.
I took the Raiden body and shaved off some of the spikes. I also sculpted in some details for the armor just to make sure he's got the neck guard in place.
What I was excited most about this figure is the use of an articulated skull to allow him a more menacing look. If you'd look at some of the recent Thunderbolts covers, Agent Venom is almost always portrayed with his tactical armor on and his face just shows a bit of the monster in him. So I was going for a perfect balance between the tactical side and the monster-side.
Not sure if it shows on the pictures, but I have used at least 3 different shades of black for this figure. I was also going for a bluish flat back for the "organic" parts of Agent Venom. So if you'd look at the sinewy muscle fibers, you might just notice that.
Didn't post a picture of those for this version since he uses pretty much the same accessories of my recent Deadpool Revoltech figure. This increases the playability of my customs.
If you are familiar with Revoltech figures, you probably know that this figure is a really pose-able and fun figure.
If I do get my self to do more, the figure just allows me to add in more details like tendrils or a more spiked armor, IF I get the time and motivation to put in more. For now, this is Agent Venom.
Enjoy and God bless.
Happy New Year guys.
