I spent a long time painting minis and got into customizing to add to my vast collection of Marvel Legends. I started out wanting a Toad figure to complete my Brotherhood, and got addicted to this awesome hobby.

I have alot of figures in the works and I truly like to take my time on each one (even if it takes me 3 months) I am far from the best on the Realm but I do strive to be 1 of them, I am currently working on a Marvel Exiles set, a Superman/Batman vs. Rogues Gallery 3.75inch scale set as well as some other figures, I am 33 years old and married (10 years) I have 2 cats and almost 1ooo action figures in my personal collection, I collect everything from Marvel Legends/Select/Universe..DC Direct/Universe..Transformers and G.I.Joe and the list could go on....All finished customs are sold at my local comic store (I keep none)I thank all who have commented on my work and all I have commented on for it is you who are my inspiration...THANKS and keep a look out for future customs!!

I love animation, anime, and video games, which are a great inspiration for lots of my customs. Transformers have always been a big part of my life so I do a bunch of them as well. Lots of people go indepth with the detail on them but not me I have always loved the animated, fun looking figures!! If anyone has any questions for me please feel free to ask. I started doing custom in 2007, learned a lot about customizing in the last few years from reading all the great tutorials and asking many questions. I love the all the classic Marvel characters from the 70's and 80's, so hard to keep up with comics today with all the different universes. Still have plenty to learn in this great hobby! I met many friends and learned many tricks from this great site!

The passion for the figures comes from the love for those great comics, illustrations, films and any other art inspiration!

Customising is the stuff of legends, although it is a very slow process, the results are usually worth it. Even just to hear your friends comments when they see several decapitated/ amputated figures on your table and start to think you're a wierdo.

There's a lot of figure lines out there and I'll try to cover as many as I can. My interests vary between projects and I always customize series/characters that interest me no matter how obscure.

I think that customizing figures is very therapeutic. It's a great way to relieve stress and it gives you a great outlet for your creativity. I've been customizing for a few years now, and I have to say that I'm glad I started. Only thing though, is that it seems like every time I finish a new custom figure, some company (whether it's DC Direct or Mattel, etc.) comes out with it. But, don't let that discourage you. Just keep plugging along, and try and find the most obscure characters out there to make a figure of, because that seems to be the only way to not have to take a figure that you worked on for ages and put it in a box in the back of the closet.

I strive to get my figures as accurate as possible, and try to produce lesser known characters that most may never see emerge from the factory.

I've been enjoying the hobby for about 2 years now. It's a lot of fun to create figures of off-beat characters that would never be released. The community here at the Realm is like no other, supportive, fun and interactive. Without this site, I never would have gotten into it the way I have. My biggest influence to get into customizing would have to be jin saotome(hands down) and his amazing figures and my goal is to someday be as good as Jin or some of my other favorite customizers like Anthony's Customs, Caboose, Kyle Robinson and so many others(sorry if i left you out)

Marvel, DC, Capcom, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Adult Swim, MF DOOM, hip hop and huge breasts are just a few things I enjoy. I have been customizing seriously since 2005 and haven't stopped striving to do better each time. I do comissions also.

I'm doing my best to bring variety here to the realm everytime I make A Custom. So look forward to more video game and movie characters coming soon. I am currently working on more projects from the game mass effect

I will not except contracts, because if you doing for money and only money, then why are you doing it at all? There are plenty of other ways to get paid. I have a set of AoA customs in the MU scale based on my friends with a theme of requiring some type of trigger to activate/enhance their mutant ability(most of them varying types of alcohol). I also have a wide variety of others from various universes, but my favorite Marvel continuity was/is Age of Apocalypse(the original run mostly, but I'm sad to see the newer run die out....here's hoping for another revival!) Comments are love, and I love reading comments from everyone. As a disabled individual, sometimes the comments from realmers make my day significantly brighter. Customizing helps with my depression and is one of the few things I can still do since my brain injury. Hey so my real name is Steve. I'm 38 years old. Married with a 5 year old son. Both my wife and son are the best things to ever come into my life. I am an Equipment Repair Technician for a very Large Northeast company. Love my job and love working with my hands. Besides Customizing figures I like to work out, spend time with my entire family and love gtting together with friends and watch the UFC and have some drinks. I started customizing a few years ago and I like to think that with each figure I do, I get a little better. There are ton of great customizers on this website but the ones I look up to the most are FastFreddie, NeCrollector, Lsecollector and Ringomendoza. I find this hobby very relaxing and exciting at the same time. My favorite figure are Marvel Legends and Streetfighters. I am into cusomizing just about any figure. Well there you it.

I love making stuff, working on a statue, thinking it up along the way. I always have a plan, but more often than not it ends up different.. I alway try to show MY thoughts on a character. I like to stay close to any original designs, but I never flat out copy them.

I am thrilled to be rubbing elbows with some of the best customizers out there. It is a great honor to be featured on this website and I believe with all the help and tips from other customizers,I can get much better.

I started customizing as a hobby on 2003. I feel that I need to learn more about this hobby, because I really suck at sculpting, but hey! as they say, "practice makes perfect". Now I could say that I've been around for a while and that I have a lot of customs. My list keeps growing!!!

Fast at work, low on motivation.

this is one helluva hobby! I wish I had more time to devote towards it, hard to do when you jugle wife/kids and full time military career. I do it for fun and get a lot of ideas from the other great artists on this site...hope I do the same for someone else. I have always considered myself artistic and i have been a toy collector for about 14 years, so when I learned about customizing,I really found something I enjoy. As long as the ideas keep flowing, I wont stop making cool toys! CAboose

the first time i made a custom was 3 or 4 years ago, but i do it regularly since 1 year ago, for me, it's one of the best ways to spend time.

I've loved action figures ever since i was a kid. Star Wars, G.I. Joe, and all Marvel/DC Comic figures. When i discovered that people were customizing figures... i had to give it a shot. I failed the first few times but i stuck with it and with the help of this site(tutorials) i finally started to get it. This site was and is a big reason i customize figures. If at first you don't succeed... try and keep trying until you do!

Hello everyone. I started customizing action figures back in November 2011. After seeing all the great customs that are posted here on a daily basis it inspired me to try my hand at making custom figures. Before all I've ever worked on was kitbashing some Transformers. I also want to say thank you to everyone for the inspiration to try this for fun hobby for myself.

It wouldn't let me type it in above, but my first custom was a Bane figure made from a very loose jointed GI Joe figure. I still have it.

While I started off making customs that represented characters in a very 'vanilla' fashion, I've found that I'm drawn to making my customs have more playability in them. I like to try and give my customs as many unique accessories and features as I can. I think it's really important to not only make the figure look like the character, but to try and capture part of the personality as well. I'll leave the judgement of whether I have any success at that up to you guys!

i really enjoy this part of my life, i'm an artist and never want to stop. i hate when a figure is made and the articulation isn't up to snuff. as seen on my amazing spiderman figure, i try my hardest with what i have to make each of my figures the best i can make, with the skill i have. i hope to learn and better myself as time goes by.

Hi everyone, I will start by saying my name is Fernando, I have always been a fan of comic books characters art work. I have only began collecting figures, statues and comics around 2 years ago. Customizing action figures is my newest hobby. Being a member of [url]http://www.figurerealm.com[/url] is a great experience to me because it allows me to share my work with other fellows. I really enjoy to customize figures and all the other custom figures displayed here by other great artist in the hobby.

My actual first custom was in '92, I did a custom of character that I created, which was later destroyed in a domestic dispute(lol)! Comic books and collecting action figures helped get me divorced(guys, marry a woman that likes or can tolerate it). After that I had extra money to feed my collecting habit and from '98 to the present had built an extensive collection of figures and also my truck driving job allowed for time for working on my old hobby of customizing while I was parked and getting unloaded or loaded. I mainly like doing old school figures in their old costumes. But, sometimes I will take a challenge if I feel like it. UPDATE: A little about me, I'm 43 and an over the road truck driver(freight relocation specialist. I like riding my '04 harley-davidson springer softail with the wife when I have free time, and me and our 3 kids always seem to find time for a game of HALO multiplayer. Halo one, Prisoner, nothing but rockets! Halo 3 we like Sandbox, nothing but rockets, juggernaut version! Got married October 30th, 2010. I was dressed as Spider-man and she was Supergirl! Batgirl, Spidergirl and The Joker was the kids. I saw a pirate, gypsy, cleopatra, morticia vampiress, hippies, 3 musketeers, fred, wilma and pebbles, a nun, 2 indian squaws, master chief, wolverine, robin, heavy metal rocker and groupie, a geisha, 20's flapper, raggedy ann, zombie, cowgirl, sexy devils, just to name a few of the characters at the wedding. It was beautiful. I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour since October 1993, even though I'm not the best example to be following as a christian. I am a believer and I don't hold anyones beliefs against them. That's a freewill thing that we all are endowed with. IF ANYONE IS CURIOUS AS TO WHY I DON'T CRITIQUE OR CRITICIZE OTHERS CUSTOMS, IT'S BECAUSE I SEE ALL CUSTOM FIGURES AS A UNIQUE INDIVIUAL CREATION AND IT'S NOT UP TO US TO BE NITPICKING ON OTHERS WAYS OF DOING STUFF. IF WE ALL USED THE SAME HEADS, BODIES AND PARTS AND PAINTED THE EXACT SAME WAY TO MAKE A CUSTOM FIGURE, THEN IS IT REALLY A CUSTOM?? IF ANYONE REALLY WANTS MY OPINION TO CRITIQUE THEIR CUSTOM AND TELL WHAT I SEE WITHOUT BEING MEAN SPIRITED, BUT GIVING AN HONEST CRITIQUE, I WOULD DO THAT TO HELP YOU PROGRESS IN THE HOBBY. Currently no longer taking commissions unless I feel like its something I want to do. Right now, just enjoying being able to work on things I want to whenever I have time.

I started off doing custom clothes for 12 inch figures mostly dolls, then expanded into repaints. Now I do a combination mostly on bratz and some figures.

I've really gotten into this hobby the past few years. Always been an illustrator, but there's something about this hobby that is much more relaxing than drawing.

sometimes, more than often, I can't wait so I make it myself.

I have been an artist my whole life and as a kid I customized my G.I.Joes. Especially fixing paint wear from play. I also loved to switch thier heads and arms. I never used the instruction sheet for sticker placement for the vechicles. HA. jokes. I have been customizing 12 inch figures since September '05. I have a vast personal collection (disguised as my son's), and have sold well over 100 on {well you know where}. However I no longer sell on {over there}. In fact I do not sell my figures any more. I emulate the Marvel Legends Icons style of 12 inch figure. I use Aves apoxie resin sculpt, acrylic paints, idb 5 second gel resin, leather strap, small wire and/or twist tie, buttons, wood dowel, foam board and many various random other pieces. I am a big fan of the removable helmet! I am also really big on articulation! I try not to use fabric too much, usually just for capes. I do not like to sew much. I hem well with stitch witchery. Sewing snaps is not a problem. I use an exacto set and many different type blades for carving. I use a dremel style rotary tool, a lot. I always seal all my figures with clear acrylic, matte or gloss. And sometimes I use "Hard As Nails" clear finger nail polish for clear coating accessories (guns, knives, grenades, etc.) and small areas of particular interest. I sometimes customize and re-use packaging.

I've enjoyed customizing figures for quite some time, I'm constantly learning new techniques and tricks as go. I enjoy making custom figures and doing repaints of existing figures.

I've been customizing for about 6 years now, I've done about 160+ most which are displayed here. I really like the Realm cause it truly embraces and encourages us customizers. The paint job on one of my first MU figures had some blotches and imperfections, so i picked up a couple of paint bottles and three brushes. And that's how I got started.

im not the best at customizing but I love doing it and have a great time sharing them and seeing other people's customs as well, i also like having my figures pose in cool ways too!

Working on year three now, and hoping to try things more stuff i haven't done before.

I started customizing for my sons. They wanted Christmas presents of figures that were not made yet. So I looked around and read some tutorials and gave it a go. The rest is history.

I started creating custom figures in January of 09. My first customs were made by mold and cast methods using a plastic resin. Since then, I have taken the easier route by stripping down figures to create a base. Fix-it Sculpt is the best product I have used so far.

From young, I have always been dreaming of having super poseable figures from all sorts of characters in tv shows, anime, comics, movies, etc... I started customizing back in mid 2006 and has since fallen in love with this hobby of art... Always striving to improve my skills, I custom any characters that comes into my mind that I portrait as cool(IMHO of coz) and is open to all constructive critics and suggestions as I believe that there are always room for further improvements...

As you will see from my featured customs, I have a soft spot for 80's characters and figures that no one has attempted before. As an adult i finally have the skills to create the toys I wished were made when I was a kid. I most enjoy making figures that present a challenge in terms of unique look, scale or detail. My first customs would have had to been paint jobs on M.U.S.C.L.E. things using simple stuff like permanent markers or arm and element swapping Battle Beasts. I moved on to repainting figures, which led to sculpting, who knows where that will take me.

I'm an indy wrestling referee/Sped Teacher that likes to do customs of the indy wrestlers that I have the honor of working with. I also make rare WWE characters. I sell some of my stuff on ebay and I'm working on making video tutorials also.

I started about 6 or so years ago working with the stikfas and still work on them from time to time. I also customized a life size Iron Man for a local comic shop for free comic book day and that was a lot of fun too. I like using foamie sheets and earphone wire on several of my customs for armor.
