Before They Were Heroes wins by one vote and shall be the July 15th contest. Here are you choices for the August 1st contest (please only pick one):
#1 Black & White
Oh no, Figure Realm's color dial is on the fritz! Make whatever you want, but your custom must be done up entirely in black, white, and shades of gray--no other hues are allowed.
#2 Canceled Figures
Any toy that was planned, but canceled, before it was put into mass production and released. Things like Legendary Comic Book Heroes Series 3, Marvel Legends Series 13 Crimson Dynamo and the henchmen pack-ins (which were replaced with the Onslaught BAF pieces), Spawn Series 35: Robot Wars, etc. The unreleased figure can't be an unsubstantiated rumor, there has to be documented proof (prototype photos, concept sketches, etc.)
#3 Caped Crusaders
For this challenge, simply make any character that wears a cape, cloak, mantle, or similar garment. Batman, Count Dooku, Dr. Strange, Spawn, Zorro, etc. You may not put a cape on a character that doesn't normally wear one.
#4 Museum of Curiosities
Make some kind of custom museum exhibit centered around the character of your choice. Think of stuff like an Iron Man suit in a glass case, the fossilized skeleton of Battle Cat, or the man-fly version of Baxter Stockman displayed in a box, pinned like a butterfly. Depending on what you choose to do, your entry could be a figure, a diorama, a collection of items/accessories, etc.
#5 Power of Grayskull
Any character/thing from Mattel's Masters of The Universe or She-ra franchises. The various toy lines, cartoons, live action movie, comics, etc. are all fair game as far as subject matter goes. You can also create an original MOTU character if you like.
#6 Sports
Make a custom of any athlete, real or fictional, past or present. Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Babe Ruth, Brett Favre, Muhammad Ali, Venus/Serena Williams, etc. Or you can just dress up other characters in sports-themed clothing (Spider-man in a football uniform for example.)
