Announcing the Four Horsemen Custom Contest.

Four horsemen. The Apocalypse is coming and its up to all of you to design the four ways it will be delivered unto us. War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death. Like marriage and unhappiness you can't have one without the other. It is up to each of you to find a unique take on them and do them justice. The same rules apply as usual. The Four Horsemen from the Marvel Universe ARE allowed.

you can do just one if you want or you could make 3 groups of 4

Could you elaborate? Also, if you make all 4 horsemen, do you have to submit them as one entry, or does each figure count as its own entry?

I believe that means an entry can be a single horseman, or all 4. So if you make all four horsemen, thats 1 entry.

The real question though, is it a good idea to enter all 4 horsemen as 1 entry?

Given the subject matter, maybe four entries should be allowed, as a one-time thing for this particular contest?

Oh yeah, another thing, the whole "Death, Famine, Pestilence, War" line-up is mostly a pop culture construct and subject to debate. Some people list Conquest (rather than Pestilence), or even the Antichrist as members of the riders. Check out this Wikipedia article if you want to know more:

Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that you might have more options than you think for customization beyond the four incarnations most people think of when it comes to the Horsemen.

I figure so long as you have 1 to 4 heralds of the apocalypse you should be good to go.

Personally I like the Conquest, War, Famine, Death angle...and the notion of the Antichrist being a horseman himself...

This all sounds to me like an original character I've been working on, who could possibly be seen as an Antichrist, but also goes through stages in his development....stages which more or less echo Conquest, War, Famine and Death.

I think I can fit all 5 concepts into one figure, HAH! I'm in...unless they actually need horses....then I might be screwed.
