Maybe any movie that's 20+ years old? Or anything done before the 2000s?

And speaking of Monochromatic, when will the result be up?

Limiting the movies to a certain time period wouldn't be a bad way to go about it, similar to the Golden Age Comics contest.

Captain Coder's in charge of posting the contest results; I'm sure he'll have them up in the near future. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, I probably won't get the leaderboard updated until sometime early next week.

This should solve that issue. It's the most comprehensive list I could find on cult movies. http://www.ranker.com/list/cult-movies-and-films/reference

Was it possible for me to vote on myself in the contest?

That is a good idea. They should be added on the contest pages now :D

Thank you Captain Coder! It's always a compliment to see ones suggestions implemented. Going to check it out now!

Yes it is possible to vote for yourself, the votes are monitored though to stop tactical voting. It's no good giving yourself a five star rating then dropping 1 stars on all the others, these votes will be removed, just so ya know ;) 8)

How about Twisted Muppets? McFarlane styled Snuffie, Kermit, Big Bird, Gonzo, Rizzo, Bert and Ernie, Statler and Waldorf, Cookie Monster, Oscar, etc.. We could also Include Yoda, Alf, the Dark Crystal characters, Labrynth, or any other puppet like characters. Create your own would need a back story! Who wouldn't want to see the Darker side of Elmo? Picture Bert with a textured lemon Head and big sharp teeth with that crazy unibrow. With so many options to choose from, this contest coulddraw crowd. Maybe even include Barney and H.R. Puff'n Stuff as muppet typed characters even though they weren't puppets. Or your favorite furry suited mascot! :D

What if we do a Things of Legend Contest? Mythological creatures, People, Deities? I would love to see more Griffens, Minotaurs, Zeus, Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, Ogres, Leprechauns, Faeries, King Arthur, Odin, Harpees, Demons, Monsters, Ghouls, Warlocks, etc. on here.

Aliens in a Bubble? Get out your quarters and go to win a prize. The plastic can be the helmet for your new alien spacesuit! A contest featuring aliens with bubbled helmets. The real trick is incorporating the helmet into the suit in a way that preserves the look of the aliens head. Maybe make a flip up face mask so the heads articulation is still useable. Or put him in a fish tank or boy in a bubble bubble. As long as it's clear and visible through the bubble anything goes. You could even put the recently dissected parts in jars to show him off as long as he's all there!

Intangible Creatures Contest? Beings made of Water, Fire, Smoke, Gas, or Electricity. If they are liquid metal or some other element, that's ok, just as long as the liquid state is somehow represented. You could even do a living GL construct as long as the construct had some oncomplete matter still forming somewhere amd the construct was the main attraction.

FinnVarra:

Thanks for the list of cult movies!

RedRebelCustoms:

Muppets/Puppets would be an interesting subject for a contest, and it's an idea that I like. I'd probably make it more general, rather than focusing on twisted incarnations though, in order to have broader appeal.

Somebody else suggested an elemental/energy contest, that would probably go well with your intangible characters idea.

I think we had an alien contest in the past, but making the bubble helmet a requirement would make it stand apart. Combining this concept with the hooded character idea you posted previously might be a good idea (a helmed/hooded character contest maybe?)

Mythological characters is something I've considered in the past too, and I believe that's been suggested multiple times in the past.

Anyway, lots of good ideas, thanks for the input!

Thanks Patraw for listening to my suggestions. The elemental and energy projection were both earlier suggestions by me. I've noticed some of the newer contests were also some of my suggestions. It's so cool to know everyones input counts. You do such an awesome job with the contests. I don't think everyone takes into account how much work you put into these. Thank you for always going out of your way to keep this site fun!!! I guess I need to research my suggestions like I did the past contests so I'm not repeating similar themes. LOL. I apologize for making ypu have to repeat yourself.

I see we have the Mechanized contest almost going, so why not "Humanized"? Get your favorite Transformer and make him a real man.

Shinigami- I'm liking your idea. The real man comment kinda reminds me of Pinoccio. Lol. Could they still wear armor? I think painted armor might help identify the character and may be a little easier for some to translate into a human from a full on machine. I would pay to see someone make an articulated human that transforms into an animal for this!
