Fixit adherence issues

Postby Danyx Eleven » Sun Aug 17, 2014 2:55 am

Is there anything (preferably something liquid/amorphous that dries/solidifies) I can add to something that Fixit wont quite stick to well to make it stay better? I was thinking a thin layer of hot glue might help, but is hot glue too smooth (or something else) after cooling for Fixit to adhere to it? Would adding a thicker layer of glue and sanding it down help? Not sure if these are good ideas and don't want to waste time/effort/resources to test it if someone already knows if this won't work or something else will work better. Also, what Fixit isn't sticking to very well is wire (not sure what metal it is, it's scrap I had lying around), too thin to sand but just thick enough to do what I need it to do (act as a simple joint/frame for hair so longer hair doesn't affect head articulation, plus probably other uses in the future if I can get it to work well). Anyway, thanks in advance, guys!

I would heavily sand (rough up) and cut some notches into the wire. then drizzle some 2 part apoxy onto it if it is still uncooperative.

Awesome, thanks! I dunno if sanding will work since it's thin wire (probably part of the reason I was having trouble), but I didn't think of epoxy and that'll probably do the trick!
