it is possible, but remember the living tribunal rules all and galactus could always call in a favor and wipe out the professor, magneto and the whole fantastic four. but with what you are saying, onslaught has a chance. onslaught still needs someone else to make him powerful and galactus is a cosmic being.

Franklin RIchards made an alternate reality to house the Avengers and FF after the first scuff with Onslaught. So Onslaught could do the same for Galactus. He could just let it collapse on itself and - poof - no more Galactus.

that is true, but galactus could sense something like that, he is immune to any mind control. also that would not be onslaught, but franklin performing the action. I know onslaught used franklin and x-man, but galactus would have the power to free them. magus used 8 cosmic shapes to blow up galactus and all it did was slow him down.

but also going by what you are saying, if that were to happen the other cosmic beings would simply poof onslaught or professor x and magneto never existing and then that scenario never would have happened. its all about your friends and he has stronger ones.

the only way I could see galactus being defeated is onslaught taking over every hero and villian, including the heralds of galactus and pitting them against him. and he would have to be on the verge of dying of starvation. there is always a way to defeat someone, but it would take more than just the power onslaught has, it would also take circumstances.
