Captain America is the BEST comic going right now

Postby Buzzy Fret » Sun Feb 03, 2008 12:41 pm

OK I am officially a huge Captain America Fan now.

after reading the CA: Winter Soldier Pt 1 TPB and CA #34 (1st appearance of WS as CA) I went out and bought CA issues 26 - 33 (had 25 already) and ordered the CA TPB 2, 3, 4 (had the CA: Civil War TPB already).

I'm still waiting on the TPBs but I sat down and read CA: Civil War and issues 25 - 34 and it's amazing comic book writing. the past 2 years of CA has been totally about installing WS / Bucky as the new Cap.

I like Bucky as Cap much more than Steve Rogers - he's grittier, tarnished, not so much a nice guy as Rogers but not as extreme as Wolverine. I hope they keep him as Cap for a long time. I'll be pissed if they do something stupid like switching out different characters to be Cap every few issues until they decide to resurrect Rogers.

Captain America is the best comic going right now.

That depends, do you want an actual character, or a parody?
If you take a copy of the Christian Bible and put it out in the wind and the rain, soon the paper on which the words are printed will disintegrate and the words will be gone. Our bible IS the wind and the rain
