I believe Street fighter 1 was on the 8 bit consoles and home computers such as the Commodore 64, you had a choice of like 4 characters and two of them were Ryu and Ken.

glad I only played the second then, the first MK had barely enough characters for me. Also sagat looked better with a bit scar to teach him a lesson in humility, I hated him more than bison.

Ryu and Ken are the only two playable character in Street Fighter 1. There are additional characters to fight against, or course, but those are the only two that you can control.

Street Fighter 1 started out as an arcade game, but it was ported to various computer platforms and the PC Engine/TurboGrafx CD (re-named Fighting Street). More recently, it also appeared on some of Capcom's classic compilations.

You definitely don't want to Fight Sagat in Street Fighter 1, he can literally kill you in 2 or 3 hits (his special moves do insane damage.) It took me like 30 tries to beat him, and even then, it was mostly luck.

I do believe some friends had fighting street, but we never played it (he loved bonk and this other caveman game, can't remember the name only you could get special weapons that came from your club), but in my opinion sagat is not that different in street fighter 2. I am good at the game able to beat bison sometimes without a hit, but sagat can redneck(or fill in your own cheap cheating cheater name) me within minutes. Also he has a knack for having no energy and gets his second wind and lights out for anyone I am using. maybe it has something to do that there is no level he can't get down to and he is so tall it would take a skyscraper to equal his height.

The best way to beat Sagat, in my opinion, in Street Fighter 2, is with a jump attack, followed by a combo/leg sweep, when he shoots his projectiles. Jump over his high/low fireballs, and stick your foot in his face before he can recover from the fireball animation, and then immediately combo out of that jump attack or crouch and attempt to sweep him. You have to time the jump right though, if you do it too late, you'll probably eat a Tiger Uppercut. It works consistantly for me, even on the hardest difficulty settings.

If he whiffs one of his Tiger Uppercuts, that's another great opportunity to really lay into him.

I will try that, downloaded the version with cammy and the othere new fighters. thanks for the help, I was always better at mortal kombat ,killer instinct and marvel vs capcom (I know they are similar, but much better with the other characters).

I'm going to say that my favorite characters would be:

Commander Sheppard from Mass Effect
Hawk from Dragon Age 2
Ramza from Final Fantasy Tactics (GREATEST GAME EVER MADE)
Cloud from Final Fantasy 7

and there are others but I can't think of them right now lol

cloud is one of my favorites along with most of the final fantasty characters, but none after 7. sorry to say never played final fantasy tactics, might one day, just have kept to some of the other titles (phantasy star, dragon warrior, valkyrie profile, chrono trigger, etc). and sorry to say still not picked up many new games so I am unfamiliar with dragon age and mass effect, but love the look of dragon age. also kinda suprised to see not a lot of love for chrono or magus!?!?

not familiar with the game, but liked the name, thanks for the info. will be looking it up, but really liked the characters. I am still a fan of the old school characters and trying to get back into gaming and still learning about them. Everytime I see Jill I think of the 1st resident evil, always played with her, sorry chris.
