There's also a new video interview with Hogan at UFC if you click the link.

HULKAMANIA IS COMING BACK TO MONDAY NIGHT ON “TNA iMPACT!” LIVE JANUARY 4 ON SPIKE TV

Hulk Hogan’s First Live Appearance On Spike TV’s “TNA iMPACT” Will Be In A Special 3-Hour Live Episode Monday, January 4 At 8:00 PM ET/PT

The biggest name in professional wrestling history, Hulk Hogan, will make his first live appearance on Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling’s “TNA iMPACT!” in a live 3-hour special on Spike TV Monday, January 4, 2010 at 8:00PM ET/PT. Hogan and TNA President Dixie Carter attended “The Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights” Finale in Las Vegas where Hogan made the announcement in an interview with Joe Rogan.

“TNA iMPACT!” will be going against “WWE Monday Raw” on USA Network, the first time two wrestling companies have broadcast live head-to-head since the “Monday Night Wars” in the late 1990’s between WWE and WCW.

This “iMPACT!” special will broadcast live from the TNA iMPACT! Zone at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fl.

Hogan’s first appearance inside the six-sided ring of TNA Wrestling will follow weeks of speculation after Hogan and Carter announced their partnership on October 27 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Hogan has hinted in various media interviews that he’ll have multiple surprises in store for TNA Wrestling fans.

“I knew when I signed with TNA, that it would be important to make a statement with the first episode. Going head-to-head on January 4th, makes the statement loud and clear: Game on!” Hogan said.

“TNA is kicking off 2010 in the biggest way possible with the biggest name in the history of our sport. Hulk Hogan is a pop culture icon, and his arrival will change not only TNA, but the entire professional wrestling landscape. We’re firing that first shot,” Carter said.

Joining Hogan for the three-hour live “iMPACT!” will be TNA World Heavyweight Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe, “The Boss” Bobby Lashley and “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan.

“TNA iMPACT!” will resume its normal timeslot on Thursday, January 7th at 9:00 PM ET/PT with an encore viewing of the live “iMPACT!” special.

I can't freaking wait! Hulk Hogan returns, the Monday Night Wars return, Bischoff is back, and a three-hour Impact! It's an exciting time to be a wrestling fan, especially a long-time wrestling fan!

And WWE fires back:

I just read on a website that Brett Hart signed a 4 month contract with the WWE. It's going to start on Jan. 1 and end shortly after WM 26. Man, how *big* is that? I never thought I'd see the day.

Hart's return is also confirmed by Dave Meltzer of Pro-Wrestling Illustrated.

:-o

Wow! This year's Wrestlemania is gonna be something else! I also just read in the latest issue of Pro-Wrestling Illustrated that the main event for Wrestlemania 26 is gonna be John Cena vs. The Rock!!! This wasn't just some excerpt in the rumors section, either, it was a huge spread article. And now we also get Bret Hart! I wonder who he's gonna wrestle, if he wrestles. Looks like WWE is taking TNA's new direction seriously, or else why are they pulling out all the stops? Good, because not taking WCW seriously at first was their biggest mistake in the 90s.

TOMORROW NIGHT, DVR IT! WATCH IT!

That's right wrestling fans! The man who built modern professional wrestling, Hulk Hogan, is returning to professional wrestling, tomorrow night (1/4/10)! Monday at 8pm on Spike TV TNA Impact will go live, head-to-head against WWE Raw and the debut of Hulk Hogan on TNA will happen! Hogan has promised he is not alone and there are gonna be a lot of suprises in store for wrestling fans that night. He and TNA have made it perfectly clear they are firing the first shot in a new Monday Night War! Here's to hoping this turns out as good as the Monday Night Wars in the late 90s between WWE (then WWF) and WCW.

In response to TNA's actions, WWE is having Bret "The Hitman" Hart host WWE RAW tomorrow night (1/4/10)! Wrestling fans have been waiting over a decade for a meeting between Bret Hart and Vince McMahon after the infamous "Montreal Screwjob" (look it up on Google if interested, it is one of the most shocking moments in wrestling history AND THIS WASN'T SCRIPTED, this time it was all real). How will Bret Hart react to Vince McMahon? Will he blame Shawn Michaels as well? Watch and see on RAW tomorrow night (Monday 1/4/10) at 9pm on the USA Network.

I have a DVR luckily, so I will be watching both of them, and if you were ever a wrestling fan, these episodes of Impact and RAW are CANNOT MISS WRESTLING! (Wow, I don't think I've said that since the 90s).

I remember hearing about when Ken Shamrock first joined the WWF he supposedly beat the living bloody hell out of Vader, not yet realizing that the matches in WWF weren't actual fights.

Makes me wonder how Shamrock in his prime would have fared against Brock Lesner.

Well somebody is feeding you a line of bull, because Vader wasn't even in WWF at the same time Ken Shamrock was. In fact, Vader was in WWF a very short while. Most of his career (outside of independent promotions) took place in the pre-nWo WCW.

I don't know... Wikipedia suggests that Vader and Shamrock wrestled.

"Shamrock returned to the ring following WrestleMania, squashing Vernon White (one of his Lion's Den students) in his debut WWF match. He went on to feud with Vader, Bret Hart, and The Hart Foundation throughout 1997, culminating in a bout between Shamrock and The British Bulldog at SummerSlam 1997 which Shamrock lost after refusing to relinquish a chokehold."

I was watching WWE at the moment and saw Hart and McMahon or how ever you spell it.

Okay, so I haven't watched WWE Raw yet, that's for tomorrow night after work, and I'll probably have something to say about that after I watch it too.

But I just watched the 3 hour TNA Impact and DEAR FREAKING GOD IT WAS AMAZING!!! It was spectacular! If this is the way things will be from now on, then Vince better take off the kiddie gloves. So much happened!

***SPOILERS AHEAD!!!***

***SPOILERS AHEAD!!!***

***SPOILERS AHEAD!!!***

***SPOILERS AHEAD!!!***

Of course, we saw the return of Hulk Hogan, and it was awesome! But before that even we saw the return of Jeff Hardy to TNA! I called that one too, pointing out the fact that tonight would be the perfect night to do it and that he had been away from WWE for months now. And I swear to god, I knew nothing about it beforehand. Bischoff is back! He's running the show now, or at least in the storyline he is. The nWo is back! Not in name, but in spirit and with the same guys: Kevin Nash, Scott Hall (dear god Scott Hall looked horrible!), and Sean Waltman (X-Pac) came back dressed in black and it looked like they were in with Bischoff and Hogan. Ric Flair made an appearance, but that's all it was, an appearance. So I'm not sure exactly what that means. Same goes for Sting, but that was painfully obvious why: they're trying to play off the old Sting vs. nWo angle from WCW already. It looks as if Jeff Jarrett will probably be going head-to-head against Hogan and gang, as they disrespected him and his contribution to TNA. Val Venis also debutes, whoopie (sarcastic).

But despite all the suprises this night, the best part of the night was the main event. A.J. Styles vs. Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight Title. This match was one for the ages. These guys put on a helluva a wrestling match. They want back and forth, near-fall after near-fall, match-winning move after match-winning move yet neither man would give-up, reversal after reversal. This was wrestling at it's best! But since that was going to be the Genesis Main Event and Bischoff rescheduled it for Impact, what will now be the Genesis Main Event?

Yeah, Hogan showed his true colors: black & white. Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and X-Pac all attacked Mick Foley after Mick Foley had a heated argument with Bischoff. Hogan then comes in the office, sees Foley on the ground around the rest of the "nWo" and nods at Bischoff and gang.
