How do you feel about Variants or Short packing?

I think variants are all right. At least you have a chance of getting the regular figure. Short packing is nice because then you have barely any chance of getting something.

It makes no sense to me why toy companies would short-pack popular figures. Why short-pack Hawkgirl or Deadpool or any other female? Thousands of people want to buy them but they make like 500 only? They lose a TON of money by short-packing those figures! If they made 20000 they would all still sell out!

It makes no sense at all! If they would short-pack the super-obscure characters then fine, but they do it to the popular ones, that's really annoying!

Variants are okay but short packing just is nice. The only real Marvel figures I collect are Spidey villians and it just so happens that they constanly short pack those. You would think that by now Toybiz would have realized that just about eveyone has a Spidey figure but not everyone has his villians. Hopefully with Hasbro taking over they will evenly pack their shipments with the new Spidey Origins.
