Are you embarrassed/ashamed.

I was just thinking are any of you guy out there embarrassed/ashamed of your love for toys or your collection?

Does ANyone you know judge you for it Parents? Siblings? Friends? Significant other?

For me I have never been ashamed of collecting AND playing with my figures even though im 21 . My parents and sibling actually help me and buy me crap friends almost all of them live by the rule hey you don't judge me I don't judge you. I do have one friend who I can tell thinks its odd but he never says anything but who cares hes 17 years old and 5 foot even (if that) .


SO what bout you guys embarrassed/ashamed? ever given grief bout what you enjoy?

Not really. My uncle's nerly 60 and collects Pez and does civil war miniatures. Sometimes you get these macho guys who think collecting toys/comics/movie propps is lame yet they have sports stuff all over and act like it's different.

People usually try to give me crap about it...and then I tell them how much they sell for and they promptly shut there mouth.

I used to....that was when I collected Marvel/DC stuff but I got bored of that and moved on to horror and movie stuff. When people come to my house they usually say they get scared by all my horror figures and replicas and stuff....I was also suprised to find out that the chicks that I know dig horror stuff so.....yeaaahhh......

Nope. The more people know how much you're into it, the more likely you get lots of figures and comics for birthday and Christmas gifts.

Occassionaly my mates will give me a bit of a ribbing for my hobby but It's all good natured and they always spend a good 10 minutes looking at my custom shelves so I know deep down they all wish they could do the same. I just don't let it bother me, like Bob said if someones got a problem, it's there problem and not mine.

Well not really. But I dont go around telling school kids, " Hey I collect Batman action figures! " Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I did. Middle school kids now a days are really annoying. But you know, Like bob said, Screw them.

Im not , like in middle school I told more girls than guys,because a lot of the guys are the ones that give you crap about it all the girls thought it was cool ... maybe that came from me being friends with more girls than guys but who knows . but really my family and friend are really supportive and don't judge me . Like I have one friend who I know thinks its odd but he is older than me and half as tall so his opinion doesn't matter lol but for the most part seeming my friends for the most part dont judge ,Its al good with me being cool with what I do .

I've been made fun of by some of the people I show my collection to so now I just stick to only showing them my customes.
