Why does everyone hate Marvel Universe so much?

I remember Soundwave for G1 being under 20.00 new, legends size TFs were under 3 as were GI joe figures. You can't blame it all on inflation, there is a ton of greed too. I remember thinking my xmen toybiz figures were expensive back in the 90s. Heck i remember Lego sets for 2.00 (a small vehicle with figure) now that won't even pay the tax on them.

I got real excited when they announced the new 1:18 scale figures because they fit in so well with many other lines I collect. And I thought it was also great since they would redo all the ML that I missed and are now fetching astounding prices on ebay. Plus 4-inch figures are cheaper.

BUT character selection so far has been terrible (in my opinion), I only collect 1 or 2 per wave. Plus I haven't seen any wave around here since wave 4 back in '09. when you have 300+ Star Wars and 100+ GI Joes, then a shelf for 7 MU seems like a waste of a shelf. I regret starting to collect these. Plus the fact that we lost the B-A-Fs, it was a great incentive.

Is it just me or did DC figure start looking way better paint and sculpt wise and even start featuring build a figures around the time Marvel figs started to suck?

I like the marvel universe stuff I prefer small figures cheaper and more covienient .....especailly cuz I try to hide my collecting

The downside is they aren't that much cheaper.
