Transformers Price Hike

Postby Shinobitron » Sat Mar 27, 2010 8:16 am

When the new TF waves hit look for a steep Price jump:

Power Core Combiner starter set: $35.00 (a scout figure and 4 minicons)
Power Core Combiner with quad changer minicon: $20.00 (deluxe scale)
Power Core Combiner minicon pack: $13.00 (2 additional minicons)
Voyerager Scale: $27.00
Deluxe Scale: $17.00

My only comment is Screw You Hasbro!

Yeah screw hasbro if i'm going to dish out cash like that i'll buy the japanese ones, that way i don't have to worry about store exclusives either. I ahven't seen these new ones but that's not worth it. I'm waiting for the new game figures. When you think about it i'm only paying 19 for japanese G1 reissues and they're like 30 here if they put them out so it's to the point where japanese figures are actually cheaper.

Usually I'm not interested unless it's universe classics anyway but $17 is a bit much for a deluxe class figure.

I don't think we're ever going to see universe classics in the US other than as imports again. Hasblow hasn't figured out that those make the money for them. closest to those we're going to get is the new game figures if they make them. And like i've said before half the time the imports are cheaper than the US versionis of the reissues and the boxes are authentic g1.

I buy them from Amazon.com or at anime cons so that's usually added into the price. It's more a matter of getting what you want without the hassle.
