Spider-Man Figure Cake Toppers

Postby Captain Coder » Mon Feb 05, 2007 6:00 pm

Hey guys... Any Spider-Man fans have any helpful suggestions for this:

my fiancee and i have decided we want to use spiderman and mary jane instead of traditional cake toppers. i see a mary jane doll (she's been the tough one to find) on your site, at this page..

http://www.figurerealm.com./viewactionfigure.php?FID=14108&DIS=1

she is 5.75 inches tall, can you recommend a similar Spiderman figure at the same height or maybe 6"? maybe one from the same series (i see some, but not all of them have height listed)?

one of these, perhaps?

how poseable are the figures? is her dress removable or is it plastic and part of the figure?

we want spiderman to be climbing the cake (yes, we're dorks), so do you think one of them would work better in this respect?

i am sorry for all the questions, we just want it to be perfect.

Im gonna take a guess here...

Id say the dress is fabric but not removeable and that she has movement at the head, shoulders, elbows, legs and knees

But thats just a guess from what it looks like MIP

I'd say use that movie MJ (since it's the prettiest one made to date) and a Marvel Legends Spiderman since they're much easier to find than the old movie figures.

All the Spider-Man movie figs are around the same height, 6" or so. If he's going to be climbing the cake go with super poseable. A for the M.J. I pretty sure the dress is plastic, and she's not super poseable.

Ya im gonna change my mind here, im going with RB's idea, the dress is plastic and she's not SP.

Looks like the movement is still the same but instead of at the elbows its halfway between the shoulder and the elbow.

After looking at the package, Mary Jane's dress does look like it's plastic and doesn't appear to be removable.

I thought the super poseable Spider-Man would be a good choice. There are some "Web Climbing" versions in various series, but I'm not too familiar with them.

Oh yeah, the figs are in the Figure Shop anyway so you might as well pick em up :D

Is anyone else creeped out when Cap posts? I look at the avatar and then read the post and it sounds to me like a guy with a evil raspy voice is saying it...

I have that MJ and can confirm the dress is plastic and non removable. Well, the skirt may be removable, since you can look up it.

Not that I have.
