Shadows of the Empire comic books?

Looking around the Figure Shop and finding The Shadows of the Empire actions figures sparked my memory; it was about that time (1996) that I first started to get interested in collecting Star Wars action figures. I can remember like it was yesterday how the Shadows of the Empire series got me very interested, however I could never manage to get my hands on any, and soon the Power of the Force line was discontinued.

Recenctly, when I was looking through the Figure Shop, I came across all of the single figures. I wanted to learn more about these (I knew they were a comic-series, but mothing past that) so I got on eBay and looked around. To find out, the figure two-packs had free comic books with them. I may buy a two-pack sometime, however I leave them MOC so I will not be able to get the actual comic and read it.

To make a long story short, I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has read the comics, and if so what were they about and how did you like them?
