Made out of burlap, with detailed copper hands and feet, 9 is the most physically refined, emotionally attuned of the stitchpunk beings – the closest to perfection. His curious, proactive nature causes him to oppose 1’s strategy of hiding, opting instead for action and setting the stage for conflict over the leadership of the group.
As the oldest and most crudely designed of the stitchpunk beings, he is constructed of rudimentary tools, including simple metal plates and heavy canvas. As the elder, he is the group’s self-declared leader, and strives to bolster his air of authority with decorations such as his staff, cape decorated with a broach, and hat. He is clever and sly, but also domineering, irritable, quick-tempered, and threatened by the new arrival of 9, whose higher intellect leads him to question authority.
