At least one of the persons submitting a photo for the contest is new to this site, and read in the photo submission directions that it might be a good idea to mark photos when submitting... Sorry, it won't happen again...

This was the guidance I was referring to: "Protecting your Work
You are welcome to add your logo to your custom pictures so no one else can take credit for your work. It's not required, but you can put your logo on the pictures you submit as long as it's not advertising anything. This means do NOT make your logo have a website's or store's name in it, or the custom will be rejected. A small transparent icon or even something as simple as your name in fancy letters is just fine and will discourage theft."

I think that's talking about custom submissions in general and not submissions for contests.

yeah we may have to add "please do not post your logos until after the contest is over" in the rules.

That was in the rules waaay back. It's been the stanarded for many months now.
