The Sad State of the DC Universe

The DC Universe is turning to crap on a stick. Where is everyone? What the hell is going on? I admit that Blackest Night has lived up to the hype and Green Lantern has been hitting them out of the park, but other than that the DC is screwed-up beyond belief:

-Batman is dead
-Superman isn't on Earth or even in his own titles
-Flash doesn't have an ongoing title
-Captain Marvel is MIA
-Hawkman & Hawkgirl are dead and Thanagar is destroyed
-Martian Manhunter is dead
-Aquaman is dead
-The new JLA looks more like The Titans than the JLA
-The JSA is split (and the new writing team doesn't hold a candle to Johns)

I think DC needs to get things back in order. They're losing all their money makers.

I see your point, except for the Batman being dead thing. Batman is not dead. Bruce Wayne is. And even though he pretty much was the Batman, the new plot is exciting and cliff hanging. But everyone is dead. wow....

Bruce Wayne -is- Batman in the same way Steve Rogers is Captain America. Grayson and Barnes are poor substitutes.

Grayson has been working with Bruce, Batman, and the cave for years. Bruce Wayne would have liked to know that justice was still being served in gotham. If your at a costume party, it doesnt matter about whats under the mask.

I so disagree. It completely matters who's behind the mask. Batman isn't Bruce Wayne, Bruce Wayne IS Batman. Bruce Wayne is the mask and Batman is the real person. monkey Grayson doesn't have the attitude, the obsession, and the decades of training and honing that Bruce has. Sure he has been both Robin and Nightwing, but that isn't Batman.

And more importantly, monkey Grayson, for over a dozen years, has tried to distance himself from Batman. He made it clear he was his own man and his own hero. This sudden flip-flop in character doesn't fit monkey. I can understand the respect for Bruce from him, but becoming Batman was the one thing he said he could never do, because he isn't Batman, he's monkey Grayson.

I'm goin with burning doom I think most who have been in comics for as long and hard as people like us will go with bruce . Cassandra Cain said it best the man give the symbol meaning without the man the symbol is just a symbol.
Also I can't stand Damian I hope Jason todd murders him or he's really just a vessel for rhas to start over younger without the craziness from the lazarus pit
