I got it off of TrekWeb in an article that they were speculating the chances of Chris Pine (Captain Kirk) being Steve Rogers, who is in the runnings for the role along with a few other top choices.

Actually, he only had the old-style shield for a couple issues. The disc shield would certainly still be in WWII.
