Best selling of all time...

Ok, I may play my PS3 most, but I am deep down a Nintendo fanboy and the other day I was giddy that more than half the highest selling games of all time were Nintendo related. My friend immediately state, "The PS2 has sold over 143 million world wide though, the highest selling console EVER."

I just want to put a little perspective as to why Sony may have the best of all time, but it's not that much better.

PS2: 144 Million as of March 31st
PS3: 35 Million as of March 31st
PSP: 67 Million as of March 31st

DS: 129 Million as of March 31st
GC: 22 Million in it's life time
Wii: 71 Million as of March 31st

>.> I know I'm being ignoring 360, mine hasn't gotten any play in a while. I just wanna point out though that Nintendo really can make up for lost sales. In fact current predictions are showing the DS might trump the PS2 very soon if trends continue. Who knows what the 3DS will be like?

well the ps3 is a dud. nobody wanted a bluray player and they have no games that are great other than MGS4 and it's not worth buying ps3 for that. everyone found out they were charging a ton for that one that is backwards compatible and it put folks off. especially since you can run ps1 roms on the psp.

90% of what comes out on 360 comes out on PS3, only a handful of exclusives don't come to it. I really hate to make this an argument or anything, and I have an HD screen and I have to admit Blu Ray gives a snazzy picture. It is the future of home video, but at the same time the future isn't necessary or cost effective like DVD made itself out to be.

As a whoel the Blu Ray is superior, being able to store like 40gb of data. That's amazing for a game, the possibilities of what to put on it. MGS4 took up the whole disk with uncompressed audio though. :P
