Why can't companies stick to what works?

Postby Wesr » Mon Oct 18, 2010 7:56 am

The new Front Mission game is a 3rd person shooter unlike the traditional turn based strategy that the fans like and this has alienated more than a few. The new castlevania is the same way, people loved the old school side scrolling of the series so stick with that. Final fantasy...well they've murdered that franchise and havent' done much better with Dragonquest/dragonwarrior. I haven't played metroid since Super metroid so i hope they haven't butchered it. Mario just looks lame. Just because you have a gaming system that can do fancy stuff doesn't mean you have to make the games into shiny turds and spit in the face of gamers.

I never liked pong, i skipped over that and went straight to the 2600. Well the new Front mission wasn't as bad as i thought. Its a simplified version of armored core basically and there is the ability to get out of the mecha and fight but i still think that Front mission 3 for the PS1 was the best so far. at least square didn't make it a total disaster like the Mana series turned into.
