What ever happened to Shocker Toys?

Postby Finn Varra » Mon Oct 31, 2011 7:19 am

Does anyone know if these guys are still around? For a while it sounded like they would be on the pegs next to the MLs and DCUCs but I still haven't seen them in a store. Did they just slow down, or kick the bucket completely? I'm still waiting for a Mr. Gone to go with my Maxx figure, so hopefully they are still kicking.

Shocker hasn't been on in a good while ever since the complaining fest last year I think it was. According to their site they're at SDCC this year. You type it in and you find all sorts of complaints about them O.O shame as i liked a few of their figures. You cand read up all about everything on here nicluding what happened at SDCC this year. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shocker_Toys

Supposedly they are still in business, the Mr Gone figure is still pending as far as I know, and the series II of the Legendary Comic Book Heroes is still on schedule, I got the Tick figure at SD comic con and regarding The Maxx figure I was told that a 2 pack is in the works, The Maxx along with a Julie Winters figure, I was told this by email and by the guy that sold me the figure at the Shocker toys booth, I know there were several complaints as to not respecting the release dates and the whole court papers being served incident but I'm hoping they stick to their word and release all the figures that were promised.

What I do not like about their marketing ploys is the Mr. Gone and Arthur figures that you can get when purchasing the whole series, and in series II every figure will have a Tick accessory... What if I don't want the whole set? Guess my Tick figure is bound to be missing his accessories. Where's the fun in that?
