Need Help With everything

I have been a fan of superheroes and action figures for as long as I can remember, but I'm new to collecting I just wanted if you guys could help me with The basic information I should know and possibly let me know of some more Characters and their BIO's (because I don't know that many characters and I've only read maybe 6 comics) I know you guys are probably thinking that this guy has to be joking or this guy must be stupid....but I'm not I know it's a shame I hope you guys can help and let me know some information....thanks

If you're looking for characters and their bios, check out the encyclopedias. Both Marvel and DC made em. They're not cheap, but you can find the older versions for a reasonable price if you look for a bit. They look like this. Other than that, dive right in. It's definately a fun world to get into.
