As a child of the 80's I have to vote for the 80's characters.

Here's me playing devils advocate again.
#6 Tales of the West!!!!!! I love the folklore, the Golden Age characters, and there are a ton of cool newer characters from Indies like Territory51, Cowboys and Aliens, Buzzard, Billy the Kid's Old Timey Oddities, Jonah Hex, Rawhide Kid....the list goes on. Then you have a giant list of movies and games!!! What I would like to know is- would characters from Stephen Kings Dark Tower and other sumilarly displaced characters be fair game. This has such a broad appeal if you think about it guys.

I'm not posting a new poll for the next contest theme, because, after much consideration, I've decided that I no longer wish to be responsible for Figure Realm's custom contests. So, from now on, please voice any questions/concerns you may have regarding the contests to one of the moderators instead of me. I am also going to discontinue updating/maintaining the contest leaderboard.

The contest rules/description and photos for the 80s Style II contest have been submitted to Captain Coder, so that's all taken care of. Where things go hereafter is up to him and/or the moderators.

yes that is truly sad to hear patraw, your work has always been momentus and very appreciated. and I agree with darth, looks forward to your figs and on the forums. you rock patraw, just sorry to hear that.

I think I speak for every here on the Realm when I say that we appreciate all the hard work you put into the customs contest. I for one loved the way you wrote up the contest descriptions. They were very intelligent,informative, and extremely creative. It really showcased your vast knowledge in a lot of different areas as well as your gift for writing composition in general. And the way you answered all the questions about the contest even the obscure and silly ones without sounding condescending was very impressive. Also the Leader boards was a very creative way of keeping track of wins and for me losses (LOL) making the contest more enjoyable for so many. It is very sad that you will no longer be in charge of the contest, but you have indelibly left you fingerprints all over it. I believe that because of your contribution the contests are what they are today. Thank you Patraw.

Patraw, I am among the many who are extremely grateful for your diligence. I don't know how they are going to be able to replace such an understanding and gracious host to our contests. All the remarks you dealt with in a positive manner. The detailed contest descriptions. The hard work on keeping a tally of the leader boards. All the times you have given your time to my ramblings. You will be sadly missed as the orchestrator. Who do I complain to now? LOL. Awesome work brother and you've left quite big shoes to fill. Thank you!
