It's time to vote for the next contest theme, voting will be open until Sep. 30th. For this round of votes I've selected old themes that didn't quite win, but were still shown interest.
#1 Cancelled Figures
Any toy that was planned, but canceled, before it was put into mass production and released. Things like Legendary Comic Book Heroes Series 3, Marvel Legends Series 13 Crimson Dynamo and the henchmen pack-ins (which were replaced with the Onslaught BAF pieces), Spawn Series 35: Robot Wars, etc. The unreleased figure can't be an unsubstantiated rumor, there has to be documented proof (prototype photos, concept sketches, etc.)
#2 Alternate Realities II
Reimagine a character in another time period or dimension/universe, or, do a kind of "what if?" thing where some important event in the character's life turned out differently (i.e., what if Martha Wayne's husband and son were killed by a mugger and she became Batwoman?)
#3 Future Imperfect
Show us what your favorite characters would look like far into the future. You could redesign them completely (say, something like Marvel 2099), give us a glimse of what they'll look like as old men/women, etc.
#4 Retro Games
Time to go old school, when polygon counts were low and sprites were king, and make any character/thing from a console/computer video game released before the year 1995. Modern remakes of old games (Bionic Commando Rearmed for example), or new games intentionally made in the retro style (like Megaman 9 and 10), don't count--the game has to have been published pre-1995.
#5 TV Land
Make any person/character from a television show, past or present: Friends, Glee, Jeopardy, Law & Order, Married With Children, Murder She Wrote, The Twilight Zone, etc. No cartoons/animation, just actual actors/actresses (I might allow puppets though.) If the character has appeared in both movies and television, that's okay, but you have to make the TV version--in other words, you could make an Adam West Batman, but not a Christian Bale Batman.
#6 Mythic Might
Make someone or something that originates from any mythology. Gods/goddesses, heroes/heroines, mythical creatures, etc.
