ID a Bruce Banner Figure

Hello Realmers, wondering if anyone could help me track down some info on a Bruce Banner figure my girlfriend has. We found this figure about a year and a half ago (back before we even started customizing and just collected) at a yard sale. We often kick ourselves because said yard sale had like 4-5 bins full of Marvel/DC figures, but I digress. The figure is of Bruce Banner, and looks exactly like this one:

However, this one was released in 03, and the Banner figure she has said 97 Toy Biz on the foot. The only difference we can tell is the undershirt (the edge you can see under his collared shirt) and collared shirt buttons on the 03 one are black, and the same areas on hers are still the same gray as the shirt. I've tried looking it up to see if maybe the figure was released in 97 then rereleased with this pack or something but have been able to find no information. Thanks guys!

My theory on that figure is that it was designed in 97 and intended for a 98 line but never saw release for some reason and they needed a Banner in 03 so the released it then. They must have missed the paint app on your figure. I'd need someone who owns the figure with the paint app to verify the date on the foot to prove my theory though.

Very possible. We don't know anyone who has the 03 one though to confirm it; unless someone on here has it and would be willing to drop us a reply. Thanks for a quick response man.

Yup. Mine is the same thing and I took it out of the package with the gamma hulk. Must have been repurposed or maybe it took that long for the tooling of the Hulk it came with. I d'know.

Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up dude That must have been it then, either that or they reused the cast of a different figs feet and were too lazy to change the date lol.

I have that bruce fig. But I sold the hulk for $200!
