I was a Sony guy for years and years and then I picked up the 360 and loved it. That is until they treated me the way they did. There is some type of problem with my profile that mics don't work. I have to almost scream in order for anyone to hear me over xbox live. It's not the hardware as it's been tested on multiple systems, head sets, etc. and nothing fixes it. It has been discovered that it is a profile specific problem that Microsoft has never encountered before. I spoke with them multiple times and they went so far as to have the supervisors of their specialists look into the problem and they have told me there is no fix. There only solution was that I delete my profile and make a new one. As you all know with xbox, if you delete your profile you lose everything. I brought this to their attention and they offered me a free year of xbox live. No points, no apologies, nothing. I told them that it's not really fair that the problem is 100% on their end and I would like to at least have the dlc I have spent money on replaced and they refused. They simply stated, "We offered you 12 months of xbox live, we think that is fair." I asked them how something worth $60 was addequiate replacement for like 4 years worth of data, hundreds of dollars worth of DLC, preorder DLC, etc... and they couldn't answer that. The rep just kept saying "There is nothing else that we can do"
Since that day, I have pretty much hated the company so I am done with them. My GF still loves Gears of War so we wont get rid of the system but I haven't played more than 3 hours of xbox in like a month. I am still really pissed that they treated me like this. Seriously, they weren't even giving me real money, I asked for virtual currency to re download DLC and they said no.
