Wolverine Orgins Comic Series In Hand!

Postby PEEPEETRON » Thu Feb 19, 2009 12:18 am

I just got home from Wal-mart where I picked up a whole case of the new Wolverine Orgins "Comic Series" figures!...I saw the box and literally crapped twice and died...They are pretty stupendous, same scale as Marvel Univerese, have comic styling as opposed to movie liknesses and are not supposed to be out 'til March 1st...I have no scrupples so I opened the case and ran to checkout...at first i wasn't sold on the new scale for Marvel figures but seeing as how every one of these figures comes with at least 1 weapon, I am becoming a convert...

Case Pack:
2 Deadpool, w/ 2 swords, 1 pistol, 1 machine gun, 1 out of scale sai
2 Logan, w/ sword
1 Mavrick, w/ 1 pistol, 1 rifle
1 Gambit, w/ cards, staff
2 Wolverine , w/ sword(Yellow and Blue)
1 Wolverine, w/ sword (Brown and Orange)...Variant?
1 Weapon X, w/ shakles
1 Strike mission Wolverine, w/ pistol
1 Sabertooth, w/ 2 tree branch clubs

i'm amazed that they rang up. I had a heckava time with Tranformers movie figures cause they kept putting them out early and wouldn't ring up, and they can't/won't make an acception even though its their fault.

Came across these online:

Looks like theres "Movie Versions" And "Classic Versions".
The Movie Versions seem to be harder to find than the Classics.

The 3 3/4"scale on these is fail, Though there is nice articulation for the size... But even half the weapons for the figures aren't scaled properly.
It's a shame too because the figure selection is wonderful.

Overall I think this line, as with Marvel Universe line, will be a figure by figure basis...some will rock and some will blow

I Picked up the Deadpool figure the other day along with the ML 3.5 inch series Iron Man. These seem to fit in nicely with the old Marvel Legends Showdown series that came out a couple of years ago. I passed on the Punisher...what is up with his HUGE mongoloid head!...it's almost scaled for a 6 inch figure!...It's body also looked way too bulky to me. Anyways, Deadpool looks pretty cool, I just have "issues" with some of the articulation and the lack of paint detail. I am looking forward to seeing more of these though!
