Ironman Movie Toys!!!

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

So, I got my Mark 3 Ironman today at Toys R Us, and WOW IT IS AWESOME!!! First time Hasbro has ever impressed me with any Marvel figures, and man did they do the trick! Now, I'm not gonna give you a whole review, but someone already did if you're interested, but I was wondering what you guys thought. So let me and we can have a little chit-chat about it.

Funny story:
As I called to see if they had the Ironman figures yet... and had the wrong number
Chancellor: Hi, I was wondering if you carry the new Ironman toys.
Clerk: Um, no. We are a Substance Abuse Clinic, not a toy store...
Chancellor: Oh, well could you put on someone who does know?
Clerk: ... (hangs up)

Later
Chancellor: OH!!!

Why do they use such big words?

Came across the Titanium Man and removeable armor Iron Monger at Wal-Mart today, so they're showing up.

Titanium man is fairly nice, has a nice bulk, but his shoulder pads restrict his arm motion quite a bit. (They're not attached teh same as Iron Man's are..)

I'm personally trying to decide if Hasbro is full of a bunch of evil money grubbers or evil geniuses.(es?)

I found the Ironman toys at one of my local targets last night, so finally got to compare them against each other.

Mark 2, Mark 3, and the Scarlet Centurion are all the same identical figure. (Stealth ops is close, but they trimmed back the shoulder plates (not the moveable ones) so they don't extend over teh shoulder joint. And of course cut the slots for the guns.)

As a Star Wars collector I'm used to this. (Clone troopers....eeesh..) But still disappointed. A little variety sure would have been nice....

The middle pic is to show how far back the upper body bends, pretty good I think. Also, the elbows have the same freaky articulation, but they look ok!

Lol...I'm annoyed that my camera refused to focus on his armor, hence the crappy pictures
