Shapps W.I.P Page! (updated 09/09/12}

Posted in Custom Workstation

I was only able to take a few pics and realized after taking them that I took pics of a white figure against a white back ground lol.

This is a prepainted version of Blackheart, took the legs, arms, and tail from a McFarline Aliens figure and attached them to the ML Blackheart figure. Took a ton of work to make the legs work and had to add sculpty to the back to make an area to add the arms coming from his back. The Energy coming from his left hand is actually just plastic from another figures package that was melted and twisted to give that look. Just need to paint the figure and the energy in his hand, and I am debating making a base for him to stand on.

Let me know what you think please! Suggestions would be amazing as this is my 4th piece I've ever done.

Hey guys, decided to start working on a new figure I've wanted for a long time now.

Step one was to dremel this head down to fit the neck peg

Next step I had to shave down the neck on the ml punisher. Shaved a ton down and shortened the neck.

Removed the skull and added the grenade belt which was from duke nukem

Took HOM Wolverine arms, removed the peg to the hands, removed one whole section of bullseyes glove (as it was way too long), glued the peg to the gloves and you get what you see

Removed the lower legs from smc scorpion and attached them to the punisher

Added these fodder shoulder pads to the jacket

Aaaaaaaand you get this

What do you guys think?

Hey guys and gals =D just a bit of simple work today but I was really proud of how it turned out =)

started with a ML 4 Jim Lee Beast and a XMC Stealth Beast head

the two different heads close up

as you can see in the pic, the holes weren't the same so I had to dremel and sand it down

using this

and this

next I had to cut the neck peg off because it was just too long and I was afraid of dremeling right through the top of the XMC head

ended up taking a bit more off than this but didn't take a pic of that

and here is the end result after reattaching the neck peg =p

side view (sorry for the blur, I'm getting sleepy lol)

Let me know what you guys think as I really love the cat face beast. I know the size is a tad small for the body but I actually like it that way and at the end of the day, it's my figure lol

Also started working on this today, I had to sand down the face to get it as smooth as possible (I didn't do this sculpting, whoever I got it from did and I can't remember who that was so credit to you person I forget)

then I used this

to do this

I know it looks like a blob of black at the moment but I promise it will tighten up a crazy amount and I'll show you another pic tomorrow of that =)

G' Night everyone and thanks for looking at my paltry workings

@darth, thanks man! It means a lot to have you comment on my thread

Took the hands from lcbh conan (love their size) and swapped them with crimson dynamos

Next I drilled a home in his foot for a peg I had to make

Dremeled a home for the peg to the backpack

So now he can hold guns and his removable backpack stays on

Quick pic of the arm after sanding down the raised parts

attached a canister type object to his chest

At the suggestion of count, I created a peg for this backpack so it can be removable

An idea of how it will look

Then I heated up the tunic and shaped it to the figure to make it look more natural, you can see how rigid it looked in the previous pic

Hey guys, decided to work on my fallout guy while waiting on having the money to finish up some other projects. Please give me feedback and suggestions

Took the knee plates off of the titanium man, hollowed out the inside of the halo plate, and secured them to the halo knee plates. That way I know they will be snug

Next I carved down tge size of this piece so it would fit the arm better for a bracket to the pip boy (one on left shows how much was removed)

Here I had to cut down the face to create a channel for the breathing apparatus to fit more snugly to the actual helmet. Then it attached

The boots actually come with majority of the WWE figures Elite,Legend and Basics line . So you can get them in various sizes after a little searching around you should be able to find the ones that suit your needs.

Cool! Once you get the hang of using screws and various hardware, there's no limits to what you can create. I know that it has enabled me to mix and match parts from completely dissimilar lines and manufacturers. Opens up whole new worlds of possibilities. Now you can start messing with plastic resins and pouring them into body cavities (on action figures, not people you know ) to anchor joints that don't have proper fittings. It's great too see you achieving new milestones in the hobby. OJJ

Picked up a nick fury so I started on my punisher so here are some wips

This was a huge pain in the arse lol. The arms that went with the jacket didn't fit punishers hands and his gloves were way too long so I cut them down, shaped the insides to fit a new peg (which ended up being screw of all things lol)

Here you can see the size difference in the size of the gloves.

What do you guys think thus far?

Finally back with a little update on my X-Men project

I took the idea of what darklord did with his riddler tried something similar with my angel. I wanted him to have he same loves as cyclops but they didn't fit the pegs so I cut and shaved angels hands to fit the pegs for the gloves. A little glue and bam! New gloves my first attempt doing this, what you guys think?
