Sort of OT, but it fits here!

Posted in Custom Workstation

This picture of me and some friends was taken at my school's dinner dance on Saturday (faces and school name have been blurred for privacy reasons):

I'm thinking of recreating this picture, except with action figures. My question: does anybody here have any ideas as to what figures to use?

Yup But remember to melt the faces of each figure and hit it with a meat tenderiser for to get the true detail of the pic you posted

Just joking harv

good luck on doing this

Use LOTR Frodo for yourself - I dunno why - but your channelling Elijah wood in that pose

Every time I see this I wonder if he ever made the diorama.

Animated look? Good, I like that

You've got a TON of figures to choose from then...I haven't really seen any animated toys with dresses so you'll most likely have to sculpt those or make them out of fabric. You can pretty much use any figures you want since their bodies will be covered up with what you like, just try to find the right heads to use to match and you'll be fine.

Crunch, crunch crunch...mmmmmm...not bad Harv, The reason I make customs, is to make some extra cash and its also a creative hobby. The reason I imagine some would make a diorama is to hold onto a moment they will probably never relive again like...I don't know ...oh yeah...having your picture taken with three chicks who would otherwise not give you the time of day...lol..WHY AM I SO MEAN??????

I would use the Buffy figures, but I'm going for more of an animated look. You know, BTAS Harley, Poison Ivy, etc.

"Why did you want to make this diorama anyway, Harv?"

Why does everyone else here make custom action figures?

..Chew on that one.

I still say the ladies are pretty

Buffy seems to be the only line I've seen that matches this picture nicely. Why did you want to make this diorama anyway, Harv?

I CAN'T THINK OF ANY CHUBBY SCHOOL AGE FIGURES OFF HAND AND THE COWBOYS OF MOO MESA WOULD BE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE OTHERS...SORRY...Oh man, I actually typed that...Those other personalities of mine keep popping up from time to time. Alcohol will do that to ya..Sorry about that kid. If I can think of any actual figures for you to make your lil fantasy pic there Ill let ya know. If you haven't guessed, Im the mean guy on this site.

Old enough to recognize divinity when I see it

Yeah, welcome to the boards. There are a few other guys that run through here once in a while. Maybe you can get one of them to make this display for you? They're better at customizing than I am

Hmmmmmm....I think maybe figures from the Buffy line (Buffy, The Vampire Slayer) would work well since a few of the female figures already have dresses like that. That way you won't have to do any sculping!

Who's the goddess in the brown dress?
