Help On Minor ML Lady Deathstrike Repaint

Posted in Custom Workstation

So I managed to find a Deathstrike I liked the face of, and was really pleased with the figure once I opened it. My only problem with it is the white "shirt" painted onto the chest, clearly in spite of the sculpt intending for that area to be skin, the way she is in the comics. Damn shame too since the figure is otherwise absolutely comic-accurate. I'm a complete novice when it comes to customizing, and I'm not terribly interested in getting INTO it per se, but I was wondering if there would be a relatively painless and cheap way to get rid of that white there, especially with as little risk to my figure as possible. I can't tell if the base color of the plastic is the skin color itself, but if it is, might paint thinner or fingernail polish remover simply remove the white paint if applied carefully?

Lol, yeah, just get someone to paint it for you if you don't want to do it. I'd say hire one of us to do it but the shipping costs and time spent alone would make that a bum deal for you.

1. Scrub the figure with soap (or just the chest area)
2. Dry it off and paint it with some good acrylic paint

Just use a little bit of paint at a time if you're new to painting, that way the paint won't clump.

Yikes No! If I were you I would either have someone paint it for you...or just leave it the way it is. Don't try to remove it with thinner or nail polish remover.
