making a helmet

Posted in Custom Workstation

I won't go into to much detail but I'm thinking about making a helmet from scratch for a custom but I'm not sure what to make it from, any ideas would be much appreciated.

I went to my nearest forbidden planet to get the toyfair magazine and all they had was the issue with the joker on it, so I looked through the whole magazine and it didn't have any tutorial of making helmets so does anyone know what the front cover looks like.

Though, for those of us over here that don't get Toyfare, it's kinda sucky.

The latest one...in the magazine aisle of any store, they only keep the latest issues...so the one you see would probably be the latest issue.

I don't really keep up with the toyfare magazine, so what one would that be.

Or you can get the lastest issue of Toyfare magazine which has a tutorial on that. pretty cool!

Yeah I agree. I would say use some kind of sculpting compound over the head, but as Tony suggested, use some plastic wrap over the head so it doesn't bond to it.

I would use Kneadatite (Green Stuff) cause it is nice and flexible s you can get a good fit. Use some Vaseline or plastic wrap to prevent it from sticking to the head though.
