Army of Two custom

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hey, I'm considering making a custom of Tyson Rios from Arm of Two. I'm thinking Marvel Legends scale, like 6 or 7" in height. I don't really have any idea on where to begin. I think maybe the new RE5 Neca Chris Redfield would be a good start. Here's a picture of Tyson and Elliot for reference.

Well I don't have an ML4 punisher head... I have a punisher body, but the head is well... missing. I found the body in a box of old action figures stuffed in my storage room, it was used on one of my very old customs that my mom had put away. I finally had my own place, started unpacking, he was broken, decided that I'd make something new rather than fix it.

I have a featureless black suit spidey head... maybe I could find a cheap wrestling action figure.

I've sculpted a lot of the armor now, I'm actually making leaps and bounds on the project, but I've hit a snag. I need a few things that I can't figure out how to make.

-Various military straps and ammo pouches
-The mask, or at least a bald head that resembles Tyson.

Honestly I've even been jokingly considering putting Solid Snake's head on the body when it is done.

Woo! Struck lucky, I started looking at an old and sloppy custom made from the first ML Punisher... you know the kinda bulky one? Well I decided to paint him flat black and take the weird ninja head I put on it off and start sculpting on armor. So far I've only started the leg... and model magic is a truly annoying material to wait for to dry. I know I should be using epoxy, but this is all I can afford, and with it being soft and malleable I can simply peal it off if I don't like how it turns out.

Well I've got a Dutch Schaefer custom I'm finishing up, I need to get him painted and I'm sure he'll be ready to show off.

A deluxe agression body? Maybe, I'm not too great at sculpting, so I wanna shoot for a few premade parts I can work off of. Maybe I should check out a local dollar store as well to see what kinda of knock off toys are available. I think I'll do Tyson in the coming weeks after I get my cash flow back, that way I can get new paints.
