You can say that you made your custom by hand. You cannot say that you made the action figure by hand.

All I wanted to say was that I made the custom by hand. For some reason shea doesn't think that is true because I started with a base. Well its over now. Thanks again Punstar.

Naw, making jewelry by hand means you (for example) fluxed and melted the metal in a ceramic crucible, poured it into an ingot, cooled it in a pickling solution, slowly annealed it over and over while rolling the ingot into the desired shape, shaped it to your specifications, soldered the piece together (if making a ring), added a setting via some more soldering, filed and sanded out any imperfections, carefully set a stone into the piece, filed the edges of the setting down smooth and polished the piece to a mirror-like finish.

Well, that's not entirely true. If your mom makes things people enjoy wearing then they do technically qualify as jewelry, just not precious metal jewelry... and so when she says she makes jewelry by hand it isn't a lie.

Anyhoo, I'm glad I was able to help.
