Help with Fixing Hulkbuster Iron Man

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hi. I plan to customize my Hulkbuster Iron Man but unfortunately the leg broke off. The peg is still there but the part that's holding it to the waist has broken off.
Is there a way to reattach this? Or should I just forget about it and just get another one? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Yes! That's what happened. But getting a new one might prove to be a problem since most collectors in our region tend to hoard these figures. Oh well. I'll check the forums and ebay if anyone's selling the HBIM. I hope there is one. At least I know now that it's inherent to the figure design. (and not due to my "handling" of it).

I know exactly what you mean as I broke 2 of these already. You see, the HBIM crotch is not made of 2 pieces that fit flush together. The hole that holds the peg "floats", and is very prone to breaking. You broke that floating part and is impossible to put together without the benefit of above-average tooling skills, as it is flimsy considering the weight of the leg it will hold. Way to go is get a new one. Hope this helps.

Check the repair area of the tutorials, you might find what you need.
