Help needed with base figure for Custom =)

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hello my friends, I need your help, I'm new here and t'm about to start my first custom project (yeeeeh).

There are 2 characters I'd like to create the figures, but I don't know which figures to use as base.

Can you please help? Thanks in advance.

The chracters are from the manga/anime "GUNNM" (Battle Angel Alita)

1.- Daisuke ido:

2.- Professor Desty Nova:

p.s. I'm not allowed no post images yet, sorry

You are so right, I have to consider that, dr desty nova is smaller than daisuke ido, but not so much.

Thanks for the advice.

Just a quick heads up bud, the dr.who figures are a slightly smaller scale than marvel legends and dcuc so if you're trying to make him fot in that scale this base will probably be too small. They might fit in with DC movie masters scale though as I believe they are smaller than ML and DCUC too.

For the Dr. maybe the sota streetfighter Adon alternate head with some sculpt and some wwe figures hair added or sculpted. That and maybe the joker bodywith a white coat I know there is a fineas & ferb doctor doll ( the body is plush doll like and the head is that rubber vinyl he has a white coat that fits marvel legends size figures.
That's my suggestion. Hope it helps !

Sculpting it completely with epoxy is going to be incredibly difficult just so you know. That's why I recommend you find a good head first, and if needed, sculpt over it (for stuff like hair, the glasses he wears, etc). If anything it should be a last resort. As far as a base head, you might wanna look into the WWE wrestlers and stuff like that. They're quite abundant and I'm sure you can find one that's similar to the character you're trying to portray. And even if you can't find one with a long chin like that, you could just add the sculpt to the chin to make it so.

Also, nice name. ;P

Hehehe, Thanks!
I really appreciate your help, That's a great advice, I'll do that; I'll catch a good head first! And I'll start from there. =)

That linked picture reminds me of the DC Direct Cap. Boomarang, sans goatee with new hair. Hope it helps.

Not sure but you might want to look at the Spirit movie figure.
