Can we use a character that was created in the modern age but their history alludes that they were active during the golden age of heroes? IE can we use a member of The Crew or The Six Forgotten Warriors from Spider-Man: TAS or even T'Challa's grandfather?

No problem, wanted to keep the contest fair and not have the creators known before the end. Like I metioned before about views for the customs and anthony was mentioning he was not getting email notifications about posts or replies to his customs. But like I said before the system has been smooth and user friendly and no complaints, only see those things as being missed. Still great job you guys deserve a lot of credit for making the best site on the net, kudos to all you behind the scenes.
Thanks for reporting that. That's not a good thing. I've removed the creator from the comment title for now. Unfortunately, the commenting system isn't aware of the concept of contests, so it'll take a little work to fix the correct way.
noticed an issue with the comments section, on the contests where the creators are to anonymous, the newest comments shows the creator when a comment is posted. Just thought you should know and the only thing else I can think of is maybe sometime be able to see how many views the custom has, kinda liked that feature. but still great in every aspect really been enjoying the new system it is very user friendly, keep up the great work.
I like the new system, the viewing is going to take a bit to get used to. Using the navigation to find certain figs, series, or customizers and seeing the replies works better on the main page. Seeing how many comments is totally awesome, I will be learning little by little, but I am very happy. Keep up the great work and thanks for listening.
While I am dealing with the new system, I think the old one was pretty perfect. It was much more user friendly and seemed to promote more communal integrity. I really liked the fact that if someone commented on something older that I had never seen, I was then exposed to it. That is huge for newer people. Just sayin.

I understand. We are actively working on another round of updates, which should be done shortly. I think showing replies will be included in that. There are a few ideas bouncing around about how to better show just comments to "your" customs (and other work), but unfortunately there's not an easy solution. We'll come up with something though!
I understand if you did or did not put the replies in the lastest comments section, I understand both points. I think what I miss and what I would really like to have is a way to check to see if someone has commented and or replied easier, in case you don't go through all the comments or showcase. Is there a way you could have a section for us to see or comments like the old or forum system or maybe an indicator to let you know there are new comments on your figs and figs you have posted on when you log in. I think that is the best thing if possible. thanks for the help, you guys are so awesome.
It should be possible for us to include replies in the "Latest Comments" section. We debated doing that in the beginning, but the only reason we didn't was some of the replies to comments may not make sense at all in that view. However, I'm not really sure that's too important. We might look into adding this in the next round of updates to see if it's an improvement. Anyone else have opinions on this?
I think there is a little bit of confusion here. I agree with the overall point that the Custom Showcase needs some better navigation. That we are working on, and there will be more changes in the near future to improve this. However, in the meantime, it is possible to browse to or search for any custom in the Showcase, which you couldn't necessarily do in the forums. For the most part, the forums were only going to show you the most recent commented on customs (unless you dig deep). By nature, this purely advertises customs based on commenting and leads to the annoying "bumping" issue.
Not a fan of the new layout for viewing and responding to customs. I think very few if any actually viewed customs directly from the Custom Showcase, then flipped back and forth to comment through the Custom Showcase forums, they just went to the forums. We still have to flip back and forth from Custom Showcase when viewing a custom to commenting on a custom. Plus we only get to see the most current commented on customs or the ones being advertised for "that E B A Y site" on the front page of the Custom Showcase. For individuals who don't come here multiple times a day, they could be missing out on some great custom work from other users, and there is no way to browse through older customs to see what has been posted.
Is there any way to check replies, like the old system. I have been unable to check it like the forum system. Just curious while I am learning the new system. Love the new latest comments section, is there a way you could see replies in that section? And by the way love the realm you guys rock!!!!!!
This is going to open the door for a lot of new ideas. I already have a really long list I hadn't thought about commenting on profiles before, but I'll add it to the list to look into.
Pretty Cool cap will we be able to comment on customizer profiles ? Either my brother or sister suggested it and I thought it was a fairly decent idea.
