Hello Unfortunately this is not the right place to post thing. Posting this on the forum would be a much better place for it, as more people will see it.

Hello, I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this comment, but I cam across this website while searching for a Post action figure (part of the X men universe). He is one of my all time favorite characters based on looks alone. I would love if there was anyone who currently has a Post they would be willing to sell, or if someone would like to make one for me. I wish I was half as artistic as the amazing artists on here, but sadly I am not. If there is anyone who is interested, let me know. Thank you

I suppose those would be okay, as long as you get them at the dollar store.

I've passed your concerns on to Captain Coder (Figure Realm's owner/administrator)--if nothing else, I imagine we can get that rule about the submissions limitation more prominently displayed for the benefit of new(er) members like yourself.

DeadpoolAndFriends - Wednesday, April 16, 2014
It WAS a multi-piece entry. It was actually 3 multi-piece entries consisting of 30 pieces. I had been working on them for almost half a year and it just so happened to coincide with the contest. So it wasn't that I was lazy, it was just a ton of work. And the entry that didn't post was themed with one of the ones that did. This was also my first time posting to Figure Realm so I was completely unaware of the rule, as well that rule isn't posted on the either the contest of the submissions page (as far as I saw, but I may have missed it).
Oh well. I guess I just get to submit the last 10 pieces individually now.

While I can sympathize with your frustration, the two entries per twenty-four hour period thing has been in place at Figure Realm for some time (years ago, some members were upset that their customs were getting "buried" by a deluge of new customs every day, so, that's why that policy was put into effect). At the time, I believe that I suggested that the daily limit should be three, rather than two, to avoid this very situation. That said, two entries per day is reasonable, as that'd amount to roughly sixty customs, per individual, per month, which should be more than sufficient for your average person (I've never made anywhere near sixty figures in a one month period myself).

In the future, I'd recommend trying to get your entries in a little bit sooner if you can, rather than waiting for the last day, to avoid this situation. Alternatively, you could have combined two of your three submissions into one entry, at least that way you could have gotten all three before the voters, albeit as two entries instead of three.

So I'm more then a little pissed. Contest stated that we could do 3 entries, so I busted ass to get figures done, but then it told me I could only submit 2 entries a day. I Wish it would have told me that before hand. Some of those figures I was working on just hours before the deadline...

What about the Hasbro Heroes figures like Super Hero Squad or GI Joe Combat Heroes? I've seen them at Dollar Stores.

This is a great idea! I often can't afford the ideal base figures I want for a project and am forced to settle for lesser figures so this contest really appeals to me

As long as you dress her up like her old man, I don't see a problem, as that would essentially amount to an amalgam of a random girl/woman and Deadpool anyway.

Deadpool having a daughter would kind of be a riff on Deathstroke and his daughter Ravager, which would certainly be appropriate considering that Deadpool is a knockoff of the DC villain to begin with.

Can I do an original figure related to Deadpool, like his daughter?

Sculpt as much as you want. You just have to start with cheapo toys, you can do anything to them that you want.

Aside from all base parts coming from dollar store, and assuming you don't want a dollar store head put on a fully sculpted body from apoxie...can we still use apoxie to say fill loose corners and are model master paints acceptable?

The cost isn't really the point, the point is to use toys usually written off as junk to make a custom instead of the usual stuff everyone uses.

What garage sales do you go to? I have picked up plenty of these "banned" items at garage sales for super cheap!!
I've also picked up vintage Star Wars figs that go for $20 - $50+ for 25cents!

No I don't think those would work. Sure they are pretty cheap compared to a Marvel Legend, but they are still pretty good compared to dollar store stuff.

JeddTheJedi - Thursday, April 10, 2014
Would something like a DC Infinite Heroes figure pass as "cheap"? Because even though they're from the DC brand, those things certainly look and feel very low-rent. Hasbro/Marvel has similar figures, like the recent budget Wolverine movie tie-in figures and the Hulkbuster Squad figures from The Incredible Hulk movie.

Yeah, that would rule (a Deadpool Corps consisting of all four Golden Girls would be even better). I don't know why, but she just popped into my head when I was typing up the rules.

Yes, sometimes contests are repeated, particularly if they're popular ones (which this one looks like it's shaping up to be). If you look at the list of Figure Realm's past challenges (click on the "Contests" link, at the bottom of the column on the left side of the screen) you'll see that several have have been done twice, or more, over the years. Of course, as Deadpool Daze is a current challenge, you probably wouldn't see it repeated again for some time.

Does the group need to be currently a part of the series/universe it belongs to, or can it be a past group? IE disbanded, defeated, merged, etc

I also agree that's a good concept for a custom contest. A couple of thoughts: (1) You might consider including fast food toys along with dollar store toys, as they're also inexpensive, easy to obtain, and of similar quality. (2) I think it would be wise to stipulate that most, or all, of the custom's base/parts have to come from cheap toys, otherwise someone might just stick a dollar store toy head on a Marvel Legends, or something similar, which would kind of defeat the purpose of the challenge.
