| WW2 Fighting Tommy Custom Action Figure | Hi there-this is another of my WW2 Invaders/Alternative WW2 customs. I call him "Fighting Tommy"
The recipe is very simple-not a lot of customising -I picked up a couple of LCBH Patriots-I don't know anything about the character but I do like the look of the figure. So using Super Patriot as a base I set about making him look more like a WW2 retro figure-
I made the helmet from plasticard for the rim and milliput for the dome of the helmet. The Chest armour is the shoulder pads from Super Patriot and slightly cut down to fit the chest. The 2 front pouches are from Elite Force as is the backpack, the 2 leg pouches and the holster on the chest.I also used a Fantastic Four vest(from Mr Fantasic) to mount the armour on. The pouches around the waist are the original ones from the figure.
The gun is from the 12 inch Dragon range-I simply cut off the original weapon and mounted this on the arm-I felt this gave the figure an older feel and look as it is based on an actual WW2 gun used by the British.
I really liked the idea of having the flag around the figures face so I kept this theme and simply repainted the original face with the Union Jack flag as I wanted him to look patriotic and I felt this was a good way of showing that.
I also wanted to give the figure a "weathered" look to give the impression of a figure who has seen a lot of action
A lick of paint in authentic WW2 colours and here you have "Fighting Tommy"
Thankd for looking-I hope you like him. |

Thanks both for the feedback-glad you like him. The paints I use are a mixture of Games Workshop for the skin tones and black but the "Army" green is Olive drab by Vallejo-all my military colours are from their Model Color range thanks again for your interest-cheers! |
| You make such excellent army green paint man, you make them look battle ready. Great custom... simply love your paint style. |
