Rorschach-one of the best characters to come out of comics in years in my opinion. Having recently posted my custom of the Comedian I was already working on Rorschach-again he is another character I've wanted to make ever since I first saw him all those years ago.

Looking at Watchmaen,Rorschach isn't particulary big or musclebound and having picked up another Movie Joker it was pretty much a done deal! I had seen on the site that this base figure has been used before and it does seem a great base.

Not much to do really on him-I removed Joker's head, added a replacement from ML Moon Knight, the trench coat is from a Doctor Who figure as I thought it looked a little more like the comic book coat (not exact but it was ok for me),the top collar is from ML Black Panther's cape.
I added the belt from a scrap item, The hat is from Doctor Who Classics-the Tom Baker figure-I cut down the hat brim to make it more like Rorschachs. The scarf is also from the Doctor Who Tom Baker figure cut to size.

I also wanted to add a few accessories-so looking again through the book I decided to make the grapple gun and his journal-2 key elements to the character. The Grapple gun was made from LCBH Madmans gun with a few bits from my spares to make it more like the comic book gun. The Journal is from a Buffy figure (Wesley), I simply cut the book down to size to make it smaller, repainted it brown and carefully added the words on the front cover.

I wanted to give my figure a dirty, used look as in the comic it is mentioned many times about the smell of Rorschach-so I hope I pulled it off and he looks suitably filthy. Don't know if you can see from the photos but I also painted the stripes on the trousers black as in the book Rorschach has a black pin striped suit on. I dirtied up the scarf and mask so they were not brilliant white-again to keep the used, dirty look of the character-

hope you like him-comments/feedback always welcome

cheers

hey both-thanks again for the comments-regarding the next figure-I haven't decided-it will probably be Nite-Owl-I'm not 100% sure I'll do all the Watchmen-depends on figure resources-but I may make a Minutemen such as Hooded Justice-he is cool!! But I have about 4 other custom projects to churn out yet but we will see.....
thanks again guys-keep looking!
Cheers
