This was for my mom's 60th birthday a few years ago. I removed the guitar and positioned Elvis in what looks like one of his classic wild dance moves (well, wild back then). I permanently sealed all joints with idb gel resin and then apoxied over any jointed areas. The microphone was also permanently attached and the figure was permanently attached to the base. Then I hand painted the figure with bronze acrylic, focusing mainly on small areas, like any divets or hard to reach areas of the figure. Then I spray painted it bronze. I used several light coats allowing complete drying between layers, really trying for an even smooth finish. Lastly I sealed the finsh with clear gloss acylic. This was not my original idea. I saw one on a website and copied it for my mom who has been an Elvis fan from when Elvis was still rock'n & roll'n.
