Ryo Sakazaki is made from the base figure of SOTA's Ken. Its basically just a repaint although I did make a inner vest with putty ,the tattered cloth edges and changed the hairstyle somewhat. To be frank I was very frustrated with the outcome. I just couldn't sense Ryo's essence in this custom and didn't know what modifications to do. I also made some blunders like using the wrong paint and could have saved a lot of work by using a different base figure. Oh well, maybe a part 2 later when I get over the disappointment. Custom fig for KOF line #3.

Do you still have this one? I woud like to buy it if you choose to. I've been getting into the series recently and this is the best I've seen yet of him. Even better than my own attempts...

Thanks for all the encouragement guys!! Yeah I'm looking into a head swap but have yet to find a suitable replacement. He-Man figures are pretty non-existant in my area so he's a no go

Yeah, you're definitely being too hard on yourself -- this is awesome. That said, you could probably knock the gloss off the outfit with a matte sealer to make it look even cooler. Also, if the head bothers you, I've always thought the 2002 Mattel He-Man figures had very Ryo-esque heads, so you might want to look into a simple headswap rather than starting all over! Seriously, what you've got here is already pretty fantastic.

Ah, you're being too hard on yourself, this custom looks great! Great hair job and the paint is clean! You beat me to this one first, and now I think I know how I'm going to make mine for my CvsSNK set. Again, great custom!
