The Rocketeer Custom Action Figure

Hi everyone! Renmauzo here with custom no. 18: The Rocketeer! I personally love this character and have really wanted to make one since seeing some of the other great customizers on here do thier rendition. This was the second of three customs I made as xmas gifts with the third to come soon. I started off with a Stargate SG-1 figure and swapped the head with one from an ML Cannonball, for 2 reasons : 1) the head fit inside the helmet 2) he has strapping from the goggles which I needed to represent the strapping inside the helmet. The helmet is from a LCBH Wraal which I dremmeled and applied the molding onto for the various helmet details as well as the fin from a Macross plane. I replaced the hands with those from a Sephiroth figure, and epoxied the pants for that aviation look. The feet were cut off and re-molded while turning them into boots and the jacket had an extra side of buttons added to it for The Rocketeer flight jacket. Finally, the rocket pack was built from a whole lot of fodder, starting with 2 Macross plane engines and ending with a bunch of random junk. After priner and paint, the jacket, boots and gloves were drybrushed in clear red for that old leather look, and the rocket pack was drybrushed with smoke. So there you have it, The Rocketeer! I am really proud of this one, but I am ever trying to get better, so let me know what you all think; if I could end up half as skilled as many of the people on this board, then I can do these figures justice.
