Base figure is a Marvel Legends Sentry. Epoxy putty for facial hair, gloves, boots, and cape. Rubber band for cape slash. Primer, repaint then a quick once over with some clear coat to protect paint. Anyone with an idea of how not to get a shiny finish on clear coat, tried flat but still too shiny for my taste. Feedback much appreciated.

lol I didn't even read that you used clear cout.. Don't. VP is right. just wash and use good paint and you should be fine. and avoid enamels if you can. FLAT ACRYLIC all the way. and VP is also right about brands. I use flat tamyia acylic. Game workshop is alo a great acylic.

Don't use a clear coat. That's how you keep it from looking shiny. All a clear coat is doing is adding another layer of paint that will build up in joints and chip everything. If you use quality paints like Tamiya, Testors, or Citadel, you shouldn't need a clear coat. Just be sure you wash the figure and you won't have any problems with the paint coming off from standard handling.

Nice work again. I still would like to see these with flat or even semi-gloss paint though. I deffinatly need to do a tutorial on painting eyes . keep it up.
